2 words game Rift Force

2 words game Rift Force

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Rift Force!

Choose your guilds. For 2 players, ages 10 and up, for 30 minutes. Use their powers to win flawlessly!

In Rift, we'll try to destroy the enemy elementals and control the sites along the rift to earn Rift Force.

Each player chooses a guild composed of a summoner and 9 elementals. In the upper corners of each elemental are a number and a symbol. The number indicates the elemental's health points, and the symbol represents their guild. The opponent's elementals are called "enemies," and your own elementals are called "allies."

After choosing our guilds, we place our 4 summoners near the score track. The player with the first player token places it next to their summoners. We take the 36 elemental cards corresponding to our four guilds. We draw seven elemental cards from our deck to form our starting hand.

Each player alternates between three possible actions. There are three different actions. Play: Place up to three elementals with the same symbol or number from your hand on sites on our rift side. We can play all our elementals on the same site, in any order we choose, or play them on different, adjacent sites. In the latter case, we can only play one elemental per site.

Activate: Place one elemental from our hand in our discard pile, face up. Then, we can activate up to three elementals with the same symbol or up to three elementals with the same number as the discarded elemental. Activated elementals can be on any site and do not need to be adjacent to each other. When you activate an elemental, you use the ability described on your guild's summoner card. You then resolve all the ability's effects in order, from top to bottom. If an effect isn't feasible, you ignore it and move on to the next effect.

Control and draw: You can only perform this action if you have at least 7 elemental cards in hand. You control a site if at least 1 of your elementals is present and no enemies are on that site. You then immediately gain 1 Riftforce for each site you control.

When you choose this action, you are the only one who can gain Riftforce, even if your opponent controls sites at that moment. Then, you draw elemental cards from your deck until you have 7 cards in hand.

As soon as a player reaches 12 Riftforce, the end-of-game condition is triggered. The player completes their entire action. If they were the first player, their opponent plays one last action. If they weren't the first player, the game ends immediately. This means each player will have performed the same number of actions.

The player with the most Riftforce wins!

In the event of a tie, each player plays a new action, and then the scores are compared again. If the tie persists, repeat this step until one player surpasses their opponent's score. They are then declared the winner.

Good day and good game ;)

Did you know?

Did you know?

Hello everyone!

The secret to the immortality of fairy tales.

Since the dawn of time, humans have been telling stories: first in caves, then in homes, by the fireside. Thanks to the words of storytellers, stories have transcended time and borders. Orally, these tales were largely the preserve of women.

The most famous tales were written down as early as the 17th century. First, thanks to the "salonnières," like Marie-Catherine d'Aulnoy: these women held a "salon" in their homes to tell stories.

Then, thanks to the writers who took them up: Charles Perrault published Donkey Skin, his first tale in verse inspired by folk tales, in 1694. Others followed, such as Madame de Villeneuve, Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, Hans Christian Andersen, and the Brothers Grimm. They all convey, with their own words, marvelous tales... "Once upon a time..." This catchphrase is found in every language. It transports us out of time, or rather into another space-time. We leave real life to enter a magical world... The codes of the marvelous transform fairy tales into universal stories that speak to everyone.

In fairy tales, we easily recognize the hero because he faces so many challenges. He's the youngest, the middle child, and lives in poverty... On the other side, we quickly identify the villain, and the threat that hangs over the happiness of the "good guys." The hero always triumphs over trials.

Unlike the heroes of novels, the characters in fairy tales don't reveal any inner thoughts. We get to know them through their actions: Cinderella takes care of the house, Little Red Riding Hood takes a cake to her grandmother...

And many princesses and princes don't even have first names. It's sometimes easier to put yourself in the shoes of a hero who doesn't have a strong identity, so you can project your own emotions onto them. Fairy tale protagonists are flat, so they leave plenty of room for us!

Good day and good game ;)
