Into the blue

In Into the Blue, you play as a team of divers in search of mysterious treasures hidden underwater, but you are not the only one who wants to capture these sunken wonders. Explore the depths and try to bring the most valuable items to the surface. Mark your presence in the different areas to control them and claim their wealth.

During a turn, you roll all six dice up to three times, keeping and rerolling the dice as you wish, to simulate a dive. The dice show the numbers 1-5 and a treasure chest, and when you stop rolling you place seashells on one of the levels you've reached. If, for example, you roll 1-1-2-3-5-5, you place two shells at level 1, one shell at level 2, or one shell at level 3.

You cannot place shells at level 5 because you did not go through level 4 to get there. If you get a perfect sequence of 1-2-3-4-5-chest, you collect one of five random treasure chests, which are worth 5 to 8 points, then play another round. If you don't roll a 1, then you don't place any shells! When the fifth chest has been collected, the game ends immediately. Alternatively, when someone places their last shell, each other player takes one last turn.

On each of the five levels, the one who placed the most shells wins the main treasure token of that level; whoever has the second shells takes the secondary treasure token, and in a 4-5 player game the player with the third shells also scores. Ties are broken in favor of the one who has the most shells at the level immediately higher than that evaluated. Players add up their points using tokens and the chest, and whoever has the highest score wins.
