Pass the bomb is a speed game where you have to come up with words.
It consists of a (big!) deck of cards, each representing a different syllable, a "bomb" timer with ticking and exploding sounds, and a die marked Tick, Tock, and Boom.
We prepare 13 cards face down, they will be the 13 game turns.
A card is drawn and placed face up in the center of the table.
We roll the die:
- Tic: the syllable must be at the beginning of the word
- Tac: it must be at the end
- Boom: it can be anywhere in the word Then the bomb timer is triggered.
As soon as you have said a valid word, you pass the bomb to your neighbor on the left.
Whoever has the bomb when it explodes keeps the current card.
The winner is the one who collected the fewest cards.
The cards are only to be understood phonetically.
Eg. "jan" allows the words january, leg, nice, Jean, ...
All words are allowed as long as they are known to other players.
The fun is that the bomb is not really an ordinary timer because the time is random between 20 sec and 3 minutes!!!
